Pre Orders Terms and Conditions

 

These terms and conditions ("Agreement") apply to all pre-orders placed with Furniture Forum, an online furniture store. By placing a pre-order with us, you acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions:

1. Pre-Order and Cancellation

1.1 Pre-Order:
A pre-order is an order placed for a product that is currently out of stock but expected to become available in the near future. Pre-ordering reserves the item for you in advance of general availability.

1.2 Cancellation Before Dispatch:
You may cancel your pre-order at any time prior to dispatch for a full refund, including the delivery fee.
No administration fees or penalties apply. To cancel, please contact our customer support team with your order details.

1.3 Cancellation After Dispatch but Before Delivery:
If you cancel after your order has been dispatched but before it is delivered, you will receive a refund for the product only.
The delivery fee is non-refundable, and in some cases, an additional delivery charge may apply to cover return freight costs incurred by Furniture Forum.

2. Product Description

2.1 Product Information:
Each pre-order listing includes an estimated time of arrival (ETA) and relevant delivery timeframes. These are clearly stated on the product page and serve as a guide only.
It is your responsibility to review this information before placing your order and to understand the terms associated with purchasing a pre-order item.

3. Delivery

3.1 Delivery Confirmation:
Once the product arrives at our Sydney warehouse, our third-party carrier or a Furniture Forum team member will contact you directly to arrange delivery.

3.2 Delivery Timeframes:
Delivery estimates begin after the product has arrived in our Sydney warehouse.
Please allow up to 10 business days for the container to clear customs, be delivered to our warehouse, and unpacked. Delivery timeframes to your location apply thereafter and can be found on our Delivery Timeframes Page.

4. Delays and Communication

4.1 Estimated Arrival Times:
All arrival dates provided are estimates only and not guaranteed. While we work hard to provide conservative and realistic timelines, international shipping is complex and may be impacted by unexpected disruptions.

4.2 Communication During Delays:
In the event of a delay, our team will contact you with an update and revised timeframe. We are committed to keeping you informed throughout the pre-order process.

4.3 Global Shipping Disruptions:
Recent pre-order delays have been caused by a significant global shipping crisis linked to the ongoing conflict in the Gaza region, which has disrupted key international shipping routes - particularly those that pass through the Red Sea.
Cargo vessels are now being rerouted over significantly longer distances to avoid high-risk areas. These decisions have been made by global shipping operators to prioritise the safety of crew members and onboard personnel, amid increasing threats in the region.

As a result, delivery times have been extended worldwide, affecting thousands of shipments across industries - from small retailers to multinational companies.
While we completely understand the frustration this may cause, we want to reassure you that these circumstances are entirely beyond our control and not reflective of any delay or oversight on our part.

5. Compensation and Flexibility

5.1 Compensation & Understanding Around Delays:
We truly empathise with any inconvenience caused by delays. However, as estimated arrival dates are subject to change due to the nature of global freight logistics, which can be impacted by factors beyond our control, we are unable to offer compensation or discounts for delays.

5.2 Flexible Cancellation:
You retain full flexibility to cancel your order at any time prior to dispatch for a full refund if a delay affects your plans. We believe in offering you peace of mind and control over your order.

6. Product Demand and Availability

6.1 High-Demand Items:
Pre-order items are often among our most popular and best-selling products, which tend to sell out quickly.
Pre-ordering ensures your item is reserved in advance and gives you the best chance of securing it once stock becomes available.

7. General

7.1 Acceptance of Terms:
By placing a pre-order with Furniture Forum, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions in full.

7.2 Modifications:
Furniture Forum reserves the right to update or modify these pre-order terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will take effect immediately upon publication on our website.
